Data Relationship Study

2014

While working on internal communications and infographics for sales at 8tracks, I became curious about data visualizations.

I was particularly interested in the many ways that I could represent and relate statistics.

In this study, I focused on alternative representations to the standard bar graph.

The data modeled is based on March 2014 ComScore data comparing 8tracks and competitors' 18 to 24 yr old audiences.

Initial ray entering the prism is data x, for each unique x, where function/filter, f, is represented by the prism, and the output, f(x), takes the form of individual rays.
